Project Description

 

Bursa East Wastewater Treatment Plant is built in accordance with the five-stage Bardenpho process (Phoredox) to serve a population equivalent of 1,550,000 residents. An average daily volume of 240,000 m3 of wastewater is treated at the plant.

 

The plant consists of the following units:

  • Overflow Spillway,
  • Coarse Grid,
  • First-Stage Pumping Station, Fine Grids, Sand-Holding Tanks,
  • Pretreatment Unit consisting of Second-Stage Pumping Station,
  • Flow Measuring Channels,
  • Selector and Anaerobic Tanks,
  • Aerated Lagoons,
  • Distribution and Collection Systems,
  • Final Settling Tanks,
  • Purified Water System,
  • Service and Fire Hydrant Tank and Pumping Station,
  • Return Activated Sludge Pumping Stations,
  • High Return Activated Sludge Pumping Station,
  • Sludge Grid System and Buffer Tanks,
  • Sludge Dewatering and Lime Stabilization System,
  • Ammonia Removal Unit,
  • Overflow and Drainfield Pumps,
