Milestones

1943

Kuzu Group, was established in 1943 by Abdülkerim Kuzu and his three siblings in Siirt.
 

1950’s

The Company built rural clinics in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia
 

1960-1970’s

The Company constructed the Bitlis Cigarette Factory, Batman Airport, Silvan – Malabadi and Baykan – Ziyaret highways.
 

1980

After Abdülkerim Kuzu passed away, Garip, Gökçen, Güven and Özen Kuzu took the helm of the Company. They parted ways with their uncles and started to lead the Group on their own.
 

1980 – 1985

Under the management of the second generation, the Group won its first official construction contract – for the Siirt Municipal Office Building. The project commenced in 1982 and was completed in 1985. The Group completed the construction of the Siirt Municipal Office Building, the first official contract, and police stations and tobacco warehouses in Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia
 

1990 – 1995

Construction of the Bitlis, Muş and Diyarbakır Industrial Sites were completed. Kuzu Group took on an important mission after the Dinar earthquake and set out to build disaster relief shelters for the quake victims. The Group completed the restoration of Afyon High School and the construction of the annex building, its first high profile school project.
 

1996

Construction of disaster relief shelters in Dinar was completed. ( Post- Earthquake reconstruction and relief was held by Kuzu Group.)
 

1997

Kuzu Group won its first infrastructure project – construction of an irrigation system across the Milas Plain.
 

2001

Kuzu Group provided significant support for relief efforts after the 1999 Marmara earthquake by building housing units in Yalova and Kocaeli.
 

2003

With the aim of transferring its in-depth construction know-how to the field of environmental technologies, Kuzu Group was awarded the operation contract for ISKI’s wastewater treatment plants in İstanbul. The Group completed construction of a sports complex in Sincan – its first sports facility project.
 

2004

Construction of health centers in Batman, Siirt, Muş, Bitlis, and Şırnak was completed.
 

2006

Kuzu Group commenced construction on the Divan Houses and Shopping Center in Keçiören, Ankara – its first high-end housing project. The Group initiated construction on the Spradon Houses project Spradon Towers, Spradon Residence, Spradon Terrace Houses in Bahçeşehir, Istanbul.
 

2007

Construction of the Spradon Quartz project was started. Kuzu Group played a pioneering role in the industry by starting second stage construction on Paşaköy Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant, Turkey’s first full – recovery wastewater treatment plant and the first combined cogeneration and sludge drying facility in the country.
 

2008

Construction of the Divan Residence project was started. The Group commenced second stage construction on Tuzla Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant, the first domestically designed facility to produce biogas from sludge waste. Düzce Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant became the world’s first wastewater treatment facility to be completed in just four months.
 

2009

Kuzu Group completed the Bahçeşehir Spradon Houses Spradon Terrace Houses, Spradon Towers, Spradon Residence Project and delivered the homes to their owners. Construction of Ankara Divan Houses was completed. Construction of Tuzla Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant and Pasaköy Advanced Biological WWTP were completed. Construction of Park Vadi, Park Vadi Premium and Park Vadi West Houses were completed.
 

2010

Kuzu Group was awarded the tender for the world’s largest single contract housing development project, Iran Maskan Mehr Project, Group, started to build 20.000 dwellings in Parand. Housing units in the Spradon Quartz and Divan Residence projects were delivered.
 

2011

Construction of Spradon Vadi Houses started. Construction of ASAT Hurma Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant which is financed by World Bank, was completed.
 

2012

Kuzu Group undertook the operation and maintenance of all wastewater treatment plants of BUSKİ (Bursa Water and Sewage Administration). After the Van earthquake, the Group completed the construction of disaster relief shelters and school facilities in a very short time.
 

2013

Kuzu Group won the tender to build on a TOKİ property in Oran, Ankara, which was formerly owned by the Ministry of Finance. Group, accomplished 20.000 housing units in Parand. And won the tender in Pardis for 37.000 dwellings which belongs to Maskan Mehr Project. Kuzu Group completed the construction of İSKİ’s Tuzla Sludge Dryer Plant, which has a capacity of 150 tons/day. Spradon Vadi Houses, built jointly by Kuzu Group and Emlak Konut REIT, were delivered to their owners.
 

2014

Kuzu Group initiated construction on SeaPearl Ataköy, one of the most prestigious projects in Istanbul, in collaboration with Qatari Diar, Qatar’s real estate giant. Construction commenced on both Kuzu Effect , a mixed-use development in Ankara, and Kumru Ankara, located in the capital’s Yıldızevler district. The new Siirt Public Hospital, built by Kuzu Group, opened its doors. The Group won a tender for housing developments with 21,600 units in the Algerian cities of Blida, Reghaia and Khemis Al Khechna.
 

2015

The Group’s signature projects in the Turkish capital – Kuzu Effect and Kumru Ankara – launched in November 2015. The 300-bed Mardin Public Hospital was constructed and became operational. Kuzu Group ranked 151 on the “2015 Top 250 International Contractors” list compiled by the global construction industry publication ENR. Constructed in Ataköy, one of Istanbul’s most trendy neighborhoods, the SeaPearl development project became a center of attraction in Turkey and globally. The Group presented SeaPearl at international platforms such as the Cityscape 2015 in Dubai, MIPIM in Cannes, and RecExpo in Baku, where it generated significant interest among attendees. SeaPearl Project placed first in the “Istanbul’s Top 50 Real Estate Projects with the Highest Income Potential” survey conducted by Forbes Turkey magazine in 2015. The construction contract for BUSKİ’s Fluidized Bed Sludge Incineration and the Power Generation Plant was signed during the year.
 

2016

Kuzu Group won the tender for the construction of Western Tehran Wastewater Treatment Plant, a EUR 125 million project financed by the Islamic Development Bank. It will be the largest WWTP in Iran. Büyükçekmece, Silivri and Çanta Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plants started operations with an opening ceremony, attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The SeaPearl Ataköy Project was showcased at Cityscape Dubai and Cityscape Turkey trade shows. The SeaPearl Ataköy Project ranked first in Forbes’ list of “Istanbul’s Top 50 Real Estate Projects with the Highest Income Potential” for the second consecutive year. Kuzu Group climbed to 141st place in ENR’s 2016 list of the “World’s Top 250 International Contractors.”
 

2017

Kuzu Group has climbed 11 places in ENR’s “The World’s Top 250 International Contractors List” since 2016 and ranked 130th. SeaPearl Ataköy project was showcased at Expo Turkey By Qatar and Dubai Boat Shows. BUSKİ Fluidized Bed Sludge Incineration and the Power Generation Plant construction was accomplished and set into operation. Kuzu Group, took all the operations of wastewater treatment plants in European side of Istanbul belong to İSKİ. The first phase consists of 631 dwellings of SeaPearl Istanbul were delivered to homeowners and life has started for the first phase. Kuzu Group, was awarded the tender for construction of ISKI Baltalimanı Wastewater Treatment Plant. Group, was awarded the tender for operation of all BUSKİ’ s drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities in Bursa.
 

2018

In the “Top 250 International Contractors” list of the ENR Magazine, Kuzu Group ranked 142nd. Life started at Kumru Ankara and Kuzu Effect. Kumru Ankara Project was granted an award at the Sign of the City Awards.
 

2019

Kuzu Group won the tender and commenced project activities for the construction of the Bourj Hammoud Wastewater Treatment Plant, a key environmental investment in Beirut, the Lebanese capital, financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB). Kuzu Group undertook the operation of all wastewater treatment plants on the European side of Istanbul, in effect until January 2022. The Kuzu Effect retail complex was inaugurated.
 

2020

The construction of 770 residences were completed in the Sea Pearl Ataköy West Phase. The construction of Medicana/SeaPearl Ataköy Hospital started.
