Project Description
The wastewater of Kağıthane, Beyoğlu, Şişli, Beşiktaş and Sarıyer districts is transferred to the Baltalimanı pretreatment facility with an average flowrate of 625,000 m3 per day. Here the wastewater is treated and then transferred with 2,200 mm-thick discharge lines to a 350 meter-far point and discharged into the 70m-deep undercurrents of the Bosphorus. The plant services a total of 3,000,000 people.
