Project Description
The project transfers wastewater to the Selimpaşa Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant through four main collection tunnels. Wastewater collected here is then treated in the plant by applying biological methods and discharged at a 35 meters-deep point, 1,690 meters off the coast into the sea. With a daily capacity of 70,000 m3 and servicing a total population of 300,000, the plant treats the wastewater of Selimpaşa, Celaliye, Kumburgaz, Kavaklı and Ortaköy districts that previously used to directly flow into the Marmara Sea.
